Crown Assets Distribution (CAD), of PWGSC, is the only authorized disposal agent for the sale of surplus federal and seized goods. All surplus non-restricted goods are sold on GCSurplus, CAD's official online auction site.

GCSurplus currently disposes of surplus goods for over 100 federal departments and agencies as well as some non-federal organizations, including provincial governments and police forces.
